Historical note

In 1790, the manufacturer Tobias Albert from Gera founded the porcelain factory. In 1804 the factory was handed over to Wilhelm Ernst Conta and Christian Gotthelf Böhme. From 1814 the factory bears the name Porzellanfabrik Conta & Böhme. 1893 was the registration of the trademark - coat of arms with bent knight's arm and sword.

In 1913 Max Conta was the owner of the company. He continues to produce bath children, nankin dolls and doll heads. Charlotte Conta and Hermann and Robert Conta are in possession of the porcelain factory in 1920. In their range of goods are still Nippes, bath children and doll heads. The company is shut down in 1937.
